Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

DealLens (“we,” “us,” “our”) is operated by JJGTP Services, LLC. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect information when you visit deallensapp.com. By using the Service you agree to this policy.

1. Who This Service Is For

DealLens is intended for users located in the United States. The Service is not directed at children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact [email protected] and we will delete it.

2. Information We Collect

DealLens offers optional user accounts (required for voting, watchlist alerts, and DealLens Pro). Information we collect includes:

  • Search queries you submit — stored to improve results and record price history.
  • Technical data such as your IP address, browser type, device type, and pages visited — captured by Cloudflare for security and performance.
  • Deal submissions — URL, description, and pricing you provide when submitting a deal.
  • Votes — upvotes and downvotes you cast on deals are tied to your account so you can see your voting history and change or remove a vote later. Other users see only the aggregated counts, not who voted which way.

When you create an account we collect your email address and a username (initially derived from your email; you can change it in account settings). Passwords are stored as a one-way hash — we never see your plaintext password. Payments for DealLens Pro are processed by Stripe; your full card details never reach our servers, only your subscription status and a Stripe customer reference. We send transactional emails for things like trial reminders and feedback acknowledgments. We do not collect legal names or precise geolocation, and we do not sell your data.

3. How We Use Information

  • Operate and improve the Service (show comparison results, record price history)
  • Protect the Service from abuse (rate limiting, blocking scanners)
  • Measure aggregate, non-identifying usage

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to build targeted advertising profiles.

4. Affiliate Links and Commissions

FTC Disclosure: DealLens participates in affiliate programs including the Amazon Associates Program and affiliate networks such as Rakuten Advertising. When you click a retailer link and complete a qualifying purchase, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. This is how the free tier of DealLens is funded.

Affiliate relationships do not influence which products or retailers we show. We display all available retailer prices — including retailers with whom we have no affiliate relationship — and never hide lower prices.

5. Third-Party Services We Use

  • Cloudflare — content delivery, DDoS protection, security
  • Retailer APIs — Best Buy, eBay, Target, and others provide product data in response to searches
  • Reddit RSS feeds — aggregate public deal posts

When you click an outbound link, you leave the Service and are subject to that retailer’s privacy policy.

6. Cookies and Similar Technologies

DealLens uses only technically necessary cookies set by Cloudflare for security and abuse prevention. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics beyond what our host provides in aggregate.

7. Your California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we collect
  • Request deletion of personal information we hold about you
  • Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information — we do not sell or share personal information as defined by the CCPA
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights

To exercise these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “CCPA Request.” We will respond within 45 days.

8. Data Retention

Search queries and technical logs are retained for up to 24 months for operational and security purposes. Deal submissions are retained indefinitely unless removed for quality reasons.

9. Security

We use HTTPS throughout the Service, restrict access to internal systems, and follow industry-standard practices. No service can guarantee perfect security. If you discover a vulnerability, email [email protected].

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy as the Service evolves. Changes take effect when posted here. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
